But there’s one that everyone loves: Guinness chicken wings! This Irish beer is a skilful blend of bitterness and caramel.
Perfect for creating a sweet, enveloping sauce that will give chicken wings a lustrous sheen. The result is a crispy grilled chicken topped with an absolutely delicious sweet and sour sauce. You’ll enjoy savouring these little pieces of chicken with your fingers, while occasionally nibbling on a few fries.

Recipe: Guinness chicken wings
Ingredients
- 2kgs chicken wings
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 4 glasses of Guinness
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 cloves
- thyme
- salt
- black pepper
- oil
Preparation
- Slice the onion and garlic and sauté in a little oil in a large frying pan.
- Once cooked, set aside.
- Add the chicken wings to the pan, and brown them on both sides.
- Then add the cooked onion and garlic.
- Add the chopped carrot, 1 teaspoon thyme, cloves, salt and pepper.
- Pour in the Guinness and bring to the boil, stirring regularly.
- Then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Reduce the sauce by half.
- Place the chicken wings on a baking tray and brush with the remaining sauce.
- In your oven, on grill mode, grill for 7 minutes on each side, basting regularly with sauce.
- Just serve hot with French fries!
