Horse riding in Ireland
Une course hippique en Irlande - Florian Christoph - cc

Ireland is Europe’s most famous country for the pedigree of its horses and their racing performances. Don’t worry if you want to attend a race: Ireland has many racecourses throughout the country! Some horse races are real events, lasting from 3 days to a whole week! Not to mention Christmas, when it’s customary to celebrate the festive season by attending a horse race!

Racecourses everywhere!

Fill up on thrills and spills!

In Ireland, a horse race is a real highlight! Pretty dresses, big hats, distinguished attire… and, of course, fervor and excitement are the order of the day at these races! Then there’s a whole range of events: obstacle courses, flat races… It’s all about having fun and admiring the prowess of Irish jockeys!

Some races have become veritable institutions, like the one at Ballybrit, not far from Galway, where over 150,000 people flock to the racecourse to get their adrenalin pumping!

Among the racecourses to see, we recommend the Layton site in County Louth, where magnificent horse races are held on the county’s beaches. The beauty of the place and the ambient effervescence make it a place out of the ordinary that will leave you breathless with admiration!

And don’t miss Listowel, in County Kerry. This racecourse is one of Ireland’s oldest horse-racing venues, and the Irish love to go there for a race. Atmosphere and excitement guaranteed!

If you’re the speculative type, you can bet at any racecourse in Ireland. It’s a great way to spice up the game a bit and have some fun!

Enjoy the race!
