It’s the same every year: the Orange Parades shake up the city of Belfast in July and August. These events, heavily covered by the media, systematically raise a question among tourists: is it really safe to venture into Belfast during a period of Orange parades?
The answer is simple: Belfast is not a dangerous city in itself… as long as you don’t venture into the high-risk areas (Catholic and Protestant).
