A return to normal life in Ireland? Now that most of the country has been vaccinated, the government is lifting a number of measures to return to the pre-pandemic period. Taoiseach Micheál Martin announced last week that the vast majority of anti-Covid-19 restrictions would be relaxed from October 22.
However, a number of rules are already in the process of being lifted, effective this Monday, September 6. It’s sure to put a smile back on Irish faces!
From now on, live music makes its comeback in Ireland! Concerts will be back to normal, and crowds will once again be allowed into the concert halls! Concert halls will be able to use up to 60% of their capacity, provided that participants are fully vaccinated or have recovered from the virus within the last six months. In the event of a mix of vaccinated and unvaccinated participants, venues will be limited to just 50 people per indoor event.
Whatever happens, the mask will be compulsory, whether you’ve been vaccinated or not. Barrier gestures must be maintained whatever the situation!
For Irish pubs: live music will also be permitted. These establishments will be brought back to life as before… and everyone will be able to enjoy traditional Irish music!

Finally, indoor group activities such as sports and dance will be authorized with a maximum capacity of 100 people… provided they are all fully vaccinated.
