It all began for the band in 1996, when Stephen Garrigan met Mark Prendergast at their school choir in Swords, a suburb north of Dublin. It wasn’t long before they hit it off, and realized they shared a love of music.
In 2002, they met Vinny May Jr (drummer) and the 3 of them started playing a few songs together under the band name “21 Demands”. Only in 2011 will they change their name to “Kodaline”.
In 2012, bassist Jason Boland joins the band. Kodaline began to make a name for itself, opening for the Cranberries on their European tour.
In 2013, the band released their debut album “In a perfect world” to incredible success.
