The Irish island of Great Blasket Island (in County Kerry) is currently looking for 2 people to live on the isolated island, with the aim of running the island’s café and accommodation. An establishment that is currently looking for courageous workers who are not afraid of the sometimes difficult conditions on site!
Great Blasket Island is an almost deserted 5km² island that is currently enjoying enormous tourist success. With ferries running to and from the island, the island’s café is always busy in spring and summer.
The vacancy announcement was posted on Great Blasket Island’s official Twitter page. The job is scheduled to start in April and be completed in October 2020.
The aim of the job will be to welcome tourists, entertain them, advise them on the island’s must-sees, accommodate them at their request, and of course, serve them food and drink during their stay.
