Did you know? There are many Guinness beers in Ireland! But the best-known of the range, and the one most served in Irish pubs, is Guinness Draught! This is a historic Irish stout, produced in the Dublin brewery since its beginnings in 1759. Sold on draught, in bottles and cans, it is said to be sold at a rate of over one million clutches a day in Ireland alone!

Although the Diageo Group ‘s Dublin brewery produces many different types of beer, Guinness Draught is undoubtedly the most popular!
It has a lot to offer: first of all, it’s still a light beer, with an alcohol content of 4.2°! This makes for a very enjoyable beer, as it is neither too strong nor too timid.
To the taste, it offers a lovely roundness in the mouth, divided between bitterness and caramelized sweetness. It reveals notes of coffee and cocoa, perfectly enhanced by a lovely bitterness, and the creamy sweetness of its mousse.
Its special feature is that it is served at pub pressure with a mixture of nitrogen and carbon dioxide. A subtlety that gives it all its lightness and airy texture! This is one of the few beers in the world to be served with this blend of the two gases. A subtlety that makes all the difference to enthusiasts!

Incidentally, it’s this mixture of gases that produces the much-loved “Guinness Cascade” phenomenon. Just after being served by the pint, the beer begins to change color progressively, in a fascinating ballet of light and dark clouds! That’s what we call the Guinness waterfall! A must-see, must-do experience!
It was a great success from the start: distributed for 2 centuries, it is still the most popular beer in the Guinness range! A tried-and-tested all-purpose beverage, one of the great classics on offer in Irish pubs the world over!
In fact, over a million pints a day are sold in Ireland alone! A real feat for the brewery, which has succeeded in making this stout a true cultural symbol of the country! In towns and villages, the Guinness Draught imprint is everywhere: in 4 by 3s, on trucks, in pubs… There’s no escaping it: it’s part of everyday Irish life!
