Yes, yes, it may sound crazy, but it’s a good way to put the kibosh on the idea that warm beer is simply heresy! But just like mulled wine, a warm Guinness with spices is a real pleasure to discover! Known as“mulled Guinness“, this is a typically Irish Christmas speciality that can both seduce and amaze! Give it a try at least once, and let your Christmas take on an Irish flavour!

Taste a warm Guinness with spices

A tasty, comforting Christmas drink!

No one thought of it… but the Irish did! They had the crazy idea of heating Guinness in a saucepan, adding a handful of spices and a few other ingredients… and then drinking it like mulled wine!

And believe us, the experience is worth the detour! Forget the myth that warm beer is simply undrinkable: Guinness is an exception to the rule, especially when cooked with the right ingredients!

The taste is just right! The malt’s sweet taste and texture blend perfectly with the warm spices, making it an ideal festive drink! You’ll enjoy sipping (in moderation, of course) this typical Christmas cocktail, in front of a roaring fire, under the Christmas tree, with carols wafting through the air!

A real pleasure!

Note that this cocktail can sometimes be found in the country’s Irish pubs at Christmas time… Recipes may vary from one establishment to another: it has to be said that this beverage comes from the pure Irish tradition… And each grandmother has her own way of doing it!

Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Drink in moderation.
