Dublin: you can now cross the Liffey by boat for just €2!

It had not been possible to take a boat across the Liffey in Dublin since 1984. But that’s a thing of the past: after more than 35 years of inactivity, the N°11 ferry that once handled these crossings has just been completely restored!

Now back in operation, this “water cab” lets you cruise the waters of Dublin for €2 per person. A fun way to discover the city, the Liffey and the other side of the river at a low price, without having to take the bus or walk!
A veritable renaissance for this completely refurbished boat, thanks to a project by the Dublin Port Company and the city council.

In service since February 11, 2019, the ferry connects 3 points:

  • 3Arena
  • Sir John Rogerson’s wharf
  • and MV Cill Airne (North Wall Quay)

Journeys are quick and easy, taking less than 3 minutes to reach your destination.

The 18-passenger ferry operates non-stop from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Don’t hesitate to give it a try: it’s a fun experience!
