Guinness to permanently dye its beer green!
La Guinness sera désormais verte

Forget the brown color of the famous Irish beer! From now on, the famous Irish stout will be sporting a brand-new, bright green coat! A surprising decision taken by Guinness HQ, in search of new marketing ideas.

From now on, Guinness will be an intense bright green!

As you already know, Guinness is a marketing pro and has always been one step ahead of the competition! So the brewery sprang a surprise today, explaining that from now on, its beer will be tinted an almost supernatural bright green. A flamboyant tribute to Irish culture, to St Patrick’s Day and its world-famous green pastures!

The taste, meanwhile, will remain unchanged, but the color will be a puzzling and rather playful tribute to Ireland. To achieve this, the company has been working for several years on a process for naturally coloring its beer. And Irish clover would be the winning solution for naturally coloring their beverage!

Guinness beers will be colored green from today, April 1st*. This new measure will be rolled out worldwide, and the company will be using its brand-new, safe, natural and organic colorant to dye its beverage.

The old color will be phased out. The news led to a rapid shortage of beer in the country, with the Irish snapping up the last of the brown ales as souvenirs or for speculative purposes. Brown stout is already fetching high prices on many online auction sites, with a 6-pack sometimes fetching the record price of €2,800!

Did you believe it? April fools!
