For star and astronomy enthusiasts, Ireland’s Iveragh Peninsula has just been promoted to “Dark Sky Reserve” status. A status that should delight tourists in search of constellations and other shooting stars!

For the occasion, the lighting on the peninsula has been changed, and should no longer pollute the sky lights on a clear day. There are even special areas where you can admire the beauty of the starry sky!

The Iveragh peninsula is a great destination both day and night. All you have to do is unfold a plaid at dusk, lie back and admire the stars! It’s a great show that promises to be a lot of fun!
