Le Ballycotton Cliff Walk – elainescottie – cc

The Ballycotton Cliff Walk is a short hiking trail in County Cork. Starting just outside the village of Ballycotton, the trail skirts the cliffs, offering breathtaking views of the village lighthouse. A view that’s well worth the effort!

The Ballycotton Cliff Walk

A walk along the West Irish cliffs

Once you’ve parked in the parking lot, a small path leads to a signposted footpath along the coast. With no real difficulties (apart from one steeper section), the circuit requires less than 2 hours’ walking (round trip). You’ll be able to admire postcard-perfect scenery… Lush green valleys, sheer cliffs and idyllic bays, with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters! It’s all there for you to see and take great shots of!

And don’t miss the famous Ballycotton lighthouse, a magnificent structure built on an island called Ballycotton Island. With its white walls and bright red tower, it silently watches over the village…
