If you enjoyed the Peaky Blinders series, you’ll be delighted to know that Peaky Blinders director Steve Knight has just announced his latest project: a series about the Guinness family! Due for release on the Netflix platform, the show is to be called “House of Guinness” and will focus on the turbulent history of one of Ireland’s greatest families: the one that gave birth to Guinness beer!
For the time being, information on the series is still fragmentary. But it should focus on the 19th century, between Dublin and New York. It tells the story of how the Guinness family had to recover from the death of their patriarch Benjamin Guinness, a great brewer at the head of an unprecedented empire.
The question of succession then arose with his four children, Arthur, Edward, Anne and Ben.
The show will show just how much the deceased had anticipated what was to come… even after his death!
The series will take up the themes dear to Steve Knight’s heart, between power struggles, breathless machinations and family fresco… the program promises to shed new light on the family behind the world’s most famous Irish beer!
The series will be produced by Netflix, and will be in the same vein as Peaky Blinders, since it uses the same director. In this regard, Steve Knight has promised to deliver a breathtaking saga that will shed new light on the Guinness clan!
For the time being, no information on the release date has been released. All you have to do is wait.
