The teaser for Netflix’s new Irish drama has just been unveiled, along with confirmation of its release date. Called Bodkin, the series stars American actor and comedian Will Forte, famous for his roles in hit shows such as Saturday Night Live and The Last Man on Earth. The eagerly-awaited show will hit the platform on May 9.
If you’re a fan of suspenseful crime series, then Bodkin deserves to be on your next binge-watching list.
The show features an American-Irish cast including Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen and Robyn Cara. Will Forte and Dublin actress Siobhán Cullen play podcasters investigating a real-life crime in a small Irish village.
The village, named Bodkin, looks heavenly at first glance, but it hides dark secrets beneath its surface…
Robyn Cara, David Wilmot and Chris Walley are also part of this seven-episode thriller, in which the investigative team finds itself facing far more complex challenges than it had anticipated.
The show was produced by Higher Ground, a production company founded by former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle. They also executive produce the series alongside Tonia Davis, responsible for film and TV production.
The series promises an authentic, 100% Irish ambience, in typical Irish settings. The director has already stated that the village atmosphere is a great asset to the series: Bodkin carries the plot from beginning to end!
