It’s all new and fresh: as of Monday August 18, Ryanair’s website now allows you to pay for your flight tickets using Paypal. Gone are the days of credit cards and time-consuming online payments: Ryanair is now aiming higher, with the official launch of its partnership with Paypal, the current leader in online banking.
According to the low-cost airline, this step forward should encourage online bookings, and reassure web users who are more reluctant to book their flights online.
Ryanair’s Marketing Director Kenny Jacobs goes even further, pointing out that this payment system is ” the latest addition to a long list of improvements for customers under the Always Getting Better program, including seat allocation, a second carry-on bag allowed free of charge on board, a new website and app, a dedicated service for families and a tailor-made product for business travellers to be unveiled in the coming weeks“.
Ryanair is thus continuing its program to improve customer relations, and hopes to provide an additional argument for Internet users to choose the low-cost airline. All that remains is to observe the results to see if the strategy has paid off…
