With the final season of Game of Thrones currently airing, it seems that one of the castles used as a filming location for the series is up for sale. It’s the perfect opportunity for the series’ biggest fans to acquire a piece of their dream!
Gosford Castle and its magnificent ceilings
This is Gosford Castle in Northern Ireland (County Armagh). This building, dating from the early 1800s, is said to have lent its exteriors to the filming of the third season of Game of Throne. (It’s at this point in the HBO series that Robb Stark executes Richard Karstark, a friend-turned-enemy for treason).
A lovely château, but only partially for sale! Undergoing extensive renovation since 2006, the château has been divided into a dozen ultra-luxurious apartments. Each of these apartments is currently available for sale!
Each apartment covers more than 365 square meters, all in a preserved medieval ambiance (the ceilings and walls have been preserved) and particularly luxurious. As a result, future buyers will be able to own ultra-luxurious apartments while preserving the château’s historic treasures (such as staircases, sculpted ceilings, etc.).
However, you’ll need to budget 563,000 euros to purchase a single apartment. A pretty penny… but one that promises a great deal of happiness for the future buyer!
