Northern Ireland: the studio dedicated to the Game of Thrones series has just opened!
Le Game of Thrones Studio

This time it’s the right one. After several years of construction and a delayed opening due to Covid-19, the Game of Thrones Studio opened its doors to visitors for the first time on February 4, 2022. Its concept promises to be seductive: after having served as a filming location for the American TV series, the site has been entirely transformed into a tourist attraction dedicated to the public. The studio is entirely dedicated to the series, and allows you to immerse yourself in George R. R. Martin’s incredible universe.

And the experience has already amazed early fans! A visit to the heart of one of Northern Ireland’s most eagerly awaited attractions!

The Game of Thrones Studio

You’ll have to travel to Banbridge near Belfast in Northern Ireland to experience the Game of Thrones Studio. The attraction offers fans of the series the chance to go behind the scenes of the show: sets, costumes, music, juicy anecdotes about filming, the actors’ daily lives… Everything is done to immerse you in the atmosphere of the program! And we’re not stopping our pleasure!

But we’d like to warn you: it’s better to have seen all the seasons before going there… You might find yourself a little lost… or even be spoiled, which would spoil all the fun!

Don’t hesitate to binge-watch the program before you go: you’ll be ready to appreciate all the subtleties of the attraction!

The tour is interactive and completely immersive. The studio has preserved the settings of the series’ various kingdoms. Every detail is taken care of! Lighting, ambience… even the furniture used on the set is prominently displayed! All the way to the Northern Kingdom table where Jon Snow’s family members were sitting!

The tour then moves from realm to realm, revealing even some of the once well-kept secrets associated with the filming. You’ll also discover the original costumes, the armory with its incredible weapons… You’ll then be taken to a room showing the sketches and designs used to create the show’s incredible sets.

The tour is fascinating!

Northern Ireland has pulled out all the stops for this project. Transforming the studio into a tourist attraction cost over £40 million. A colossal sum, which should make the Game of Thrones Tour one of Northern Ireland’s top places to visit!

Admission for over-16s is £39.50 per person. A sizeable budget, but one that’s well worth the visit.
