P.S. I Love You: there will indeed be a sequel adapted for the big screen starring Hilary Swank!
P.S. I love You

It’s official: the famous film P.S. I Love You, starring Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank, will have a sequel adapted for the big screen! Irish writer Cecelia Ahern, author of P.S. I Love You, has written the sequel. Entitled “PostScript”, this novel will be adapted for the big screen, much to the delight of fans!

The icing on the cake is that Hilary Swank, who appeared in the first film, will reprise her original role of Holly Kennedy.

There will be a Postscript movie. Cecelia Ahern told RTÉ. One of the first people to email me when she heard the news was Hilary Swank. She was so excited that she wanted to read the book and said: “I’d love to support you in any way I can. Then she read the book and said: “I absolutely want to make this film…
“It looked like a beautiful reunion, everyone together again. Now, we don’t have a director or a screenwriter or any of that, nothing has been announced yet, but the film is definitely going to happen! I’m delighted.

The book has already been released in Europe and is already a great success.

As a reminder, the first film told the story of Gerry and Holly’s love affair, brutally interrupted by Gerry’s tragic death. Devastated, Holly learns to live again, thanks to letters sent by her husband (letters he had prepared before he died).

The Postscript suite is a little different. She will talk about a group of sick people inspired by Holly’s experience. They’ll ask him to help them write letters to their loved ones before they die.

A way of changing the point of view of P.S. I Love You. This time, Cecelia Ahern places herself on the side of the people who are going to die, not on the side of those who will have to survive the loss of loved ones.

Although no shooting date has yet been set, the project is currently under negotiation with some of Hollywood’s biggest production companies. It’s a safe bet that the project will soon come to fruition, as Cecelia Ahern is known for her accuracy and for writing successful novels.

In her career, Cecelia Ahern has written over fifteen books, selling 25 million copies in some thirty languages worldwide. An impressive performance!
