Ireland is in turmoil following the announcement of the singer’s death on Wednesday July 26, 2023. For the time being, the cause of death remains unknown, and the British authorities are expected to deliver their conclusions within the next few weeks. In any case, the cause of death does not seem suspicious.
Since the announcement of his death, the world has paid tribute to the artist, recognizing his talent, courage and personal struggles.
As a reminder, Sinéad O’Connor has always created controversy for her outspoken stances, fearlessly attacking the church, the pope and the patriarchy. Now considered to be ahead of her time, she had experienced a veritable crossing of the desert for her activism and inability to fit into the star-system mold.
No doubt the crowds will be out in force on Tuesday to pay their last respects.
