Tradfest 2020: Dublin unveils programme for January festival!

Every year, Tradfest comes to Dublin, much to the delight of traditional Irish music lovers! The next edition is fast approaching, and will take place from Wednesday January 22 to Sunday January 26, 2020, from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm every day. A musical start to the new year, in a warm, festive atmosphere, full of tradition, beer and the good-natured atmosphere so dear to the Irish!

For those who don’t know, Tradfest is a colorful festival held in the Temple Bar district of Dublin, Ireland. Considered one of the best winter events in the Irish capital, the festival brings together the greatest local and international artists around traditional Irish music.

You’ll discover the various traditional local musical styles, listen to typical instruments such as the bodhràn, the uilleann pipe and the fiddle… and enjoy lively concerts in some of the city’s best Irish pubs!

The program has just been released. Many smaller events will be free, while some concerts will be ticketed.

And let’s face it: the success of Tradfest is due above all to the quality of its artists and programming! And this year, you won’t be disappointed! Once again, the festival attracts the biggest names in Irish music. Enjoy and discover the best of Dublin culture!

Tradfest will welcome traditional bands such as Cherish the Ladies, The Shandrum Céilí Band, Robbie Walsh, Paddy Kiernan and Sean Potts. Special guests include Cathy Davey, Sean Keane and Caoimhe Hogarty. Not forgetting The Remnant Kings, The Screaming Orphans, Hothouse Flowers, and many more!
