Access to the Temple of Mussenden provides an exceptional view of the Downhill beach below.

Particularly long and made up of white sand, it’s the perfect place to spend time with the family, have a picnic with your feet in the water, go for a walk, swim or surf! It has to be said that the beach is not only magnificent, but also boasts officially protected flora and fauna! You’ll marvel at the superb sand dunes and the incredible number of seabirds!

For the record, this is the beach on which many scenes from the Iron Throne series were filmed. Downhill Beach was used to symbolize “Dragonstone”, the place where the 7 idols of Westeros were burned.
