Franciscan Well Brewery is an Irish micro-brewery based in Cork. It specializes in the production of ale, lager and stout beers. Founded in 1998, the brewery is unique in that it is located on the site of a former Franciscan monastery. According to tradition, the water from the monastery’s well has long been recognized for its healing properties!
Franciscan Well Brewery is a microbrewery that likes to do original character beers. And quality comes first! The brewery prides itself on brewing its beers as naturally as possible, without the usual chemical additives and preservatives. This is an added bonus, allowing you to enjoy an “organic” beer that focuses on the quality of its ingredients!
The brewery produces a range of 5 beers, 3 of which are German-influenced, and 2 Irish-style. Lager, ale, stout, wheat beer… The choice is yours!
The brewery does not yet distribute its beers nationwide. Nevertheless, you can sample their beer at the Brewpub, an Irish pub owned directly by the brewery. The latter serves all its production there, and has the advantage of being located in Cork itself, close to the production site.
A great atmosphere!
Please note that the brasserie is not open to the public.
