Inishowen Head Lighthouse (also known as Shroove Lighthouse) is a superb Irish lighthouse in County Donegal. Situated right on the beach, it’s one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the whole of Ireland, although it remains little known to tourists. Shroove Lighthouse was built in the 19th century and is still in use today. It serves as a landmark and navigational aid for ships sailing near the Inishowen Peninsula, an area known for its sometimes difficult sea conditions.
