Kilcash Castle is a ruined Irish castle in County Tipperary. Located on the N24 road to the west of Ballydine, it dates back to the 16th century and was gradually extended over the following centuries. The magnificent building is currently being restored (so you won’t be able to visit it yet). But be patient: the château should be open to the public soon!
With its quaint, gravely charm, Kilcash Castle looks like something out of a dream… It has to be said that the ruins have a lot to do with it, with their overgrown stones, partial walls and main tower still standing…
For the time being, you won’t be able to get close to it, but you can still admire it from a safe distance. The site is also home to a medieval Romanesque church, with a magnificent cemetery from the same period. Some of the gravestones date back to the 18th century and feature magnificent engravings.
