The Killary Sheep Farm is a farm that has understood everything: very attached to the ancestral traditions of sheep farming, it has decided to share its passion with the public by offering them the chance to spend a pleasant hour on the farm.
Tom, the owner, will be delighted to welcome you and suggest a number of activities:
- demonstration of sheepdogs in action with his flock (magnificent border collie)
- old-fashioned sheep shearing
- peat extraction demonstration
- and some suggested hiking routes to take with Tom to discover Killary Fjord.
There are plenty of activities to suit children and adults alike. A great time to spend in the company of Irish people who love their land and their region, discovering Killary, a real wonder in its own right, and the secrets of free-range sheep farming.
Please contact them in advance to check availability on 087 298 8051. You’ll be amazed by their warm Irish welcome!
