A mansion open to the public

Killruddery Manor is located on the R761, not far from the peaceful village of Greystones.

Built on a rather large, well-landscaped plot, the building was restored in the 19th century and its gardens enlarged during the same period.

Renovated in pure Elizabethan style, the manor boasts a distinctive “Clock Tower”, which was erected in the courtyard by Reginald Brabazon, then 13th Earl of Meath. A special feature of this clock is that its pendulum is propelled by a hydraulic water jet.

The Orangerie also boasts an impressive collection of marble statues, collected between 1830 and 1850 by the manor’s then owner.

Take a stroll through Killrudderry‘s formal gardens : the manor is one of the few with such a well-preserved garden!

The site has been used for numerous film and TV shoots, including : Angela’s Ashes, The Tudors and Camelot.
