If you like confidential beaches with 100% Irish charm, then we recommend you put down your towel on Dunmore East Beach. Located in a small village of less than 2,000 souls, this beach will delight you with its authentic, peaceful charm. Fine sand, a bay with crystal-clear water: in short, a great time!
Want to enjoy the Irish summer in a family setting, without taking on too much of the world? Dunmore East Beach is one of those friendly beaches much appreciated by Irish people in search of crystal-clear water and an unspoilt beach.
Rather small, it stretches over less than 800 meters, allowing you to settle in comfortably under the watchful eye of the lifeguards who supervise the area during the summer months. The beach is clean, protected and reputedly rich in fish! (A must for snorkelers!).
The sand is quite fine and not too heavy with algae. The water quality is impeccable, crystal clear. Admittedly a little cool, but it all depends on when you want to visit.
Feel free to put your towel down for a swim, a picnic or a sand castle. Dunmore East Beach is a family beach, lively but not too noisy. We can usually find a place at a good distance from the neighbors, which is a plus.
Don’t hesitate to take a stroll through the village after your beach visit: Dunmore East is well worth a visit, and has a picturesque, authentic charm, with local Irish pubs, small character houses and pretty sea views!
