The scene is unusual and surprising. On Saturday, a bar in Cork, Ireland, which doubles as a betting office, was the victim of an attempted armed robbery. Three men armed with hammers and a shotgun tried to make off with the establishment’s cash… But that was without counting on Denis O’Connor, an 83-year-old Irishman on the premises, who didn’t hesitate to physically attack the robbers.
The whole thing was filmed by a camera in the bar: the old man can be seen confronting the robbers, mollifying them and driving them away, armed with a stool… Very lively for his age, he stood up to the thugs, finishing them off with a magnificent kick up the arse!
