To celebrate Christmas, Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse came up with the idea of creating the Winter Village. An ingenious concept that allowed the House of Guinness to create a snow-covered mini-village, complete with huts, craft stands and sales of Christmas-themed products. Jewelry, clothes, sweets, decorations: there’s plenty to treat yourself to!
One thing’s for sure: even in the midst of Covid-19, Dublin has a way of celebrating the holidays! And Guinness has understood this, setting the bar very high!
Ireland’s most famous brewery invites you to stroll through a village built especially for the occasion, do a little shopping and, of course, take home some Guinness merchandise! On the program: carols, hot drinks stalls, cinnamon cakes, and gift ideas of all kinds, Guinness and non-Guinness alike.
You can continue the experience by reserving a table at one of the brasserie’s 2 restaurants: 1837 Bar & Brasserie, and Arthur’s Bar. Here you can sample their signature dishes, including fish pie, oysters and a delicious double Guinness cheeseburger with bacon. The Gravity Bar (the panoramic bar in the Guinness Storehouse) can also be opened to you, for a pint of Guinness in front of an incredible view of the city.
Would you like to visit the village? Don’t worry: admission is free, but you’ll need to book in advance on their official website, and choose your schedule. Please note that visitors can only enter the Winter Village at the time indicated on their ticket.
