Do you like Conor McGregor and MMA? You’ll have one more reason to visit Dublin! The UFC star is said to be working on a brand new project: opening his own Irish pub! Conor McGregor is said to have taken advantage of the confinement to invest nearly 3 million in his own Irish pub called the “Black Forge”.
For the time being, there’s little information on the opening of the fighter’s future Irish pub, but one thing is certain: the establishment will be located in Dublin’s Crumlin district, where the boxer is said to have grown up.
He is said to have spent one million euros on its renovation, and added a further two million on its development – a substantial sum, which suggests that the Irishman has set his sights high and with ambition!
Broadly speaking, the Black Forge is a rather ambitious project. This was Conor McGregor’s opportunity to offer the people of Crumlin a traditional and authentic establishment, offering 100% Irish food and drink… without fuss or crazy prices.
A choice that could well appeal to Dubliners, and fans of Conor McGregor. It’s the perfect place to dine on Irish delicacies (we’re betting Irish stew will be on the menu), while enjoying a decor dedicated to the glory of the fighter. Many expect to find a décor filled with photos and objects that marked the career of this MMA giant…
However, you’ll have to be patient before you can enjoy the place: the establishment is said to be in the final stages of completion, but, like all other Irish pubs, is subject to forced closure: the reason being current restrictions to combat Covid-19.
Fans will have to wait and see: the opportunity for McGregor to fine-tune the final details before embarking on this brand new adventure!
