Protective Gear to Support Healthcare Workers Facing COVID-19

The announcement was made on Twitter. A generous gesture, praised by Ireland’s Minister of Health, who considers Conor McGregor a great example of solidarity in the fight against the coronavirus.

“Today, I am buying 1 million euros worth of personal protective equipment. It will be deployed in all frontline hospitals in the Leinster region of Ireland, which is currently our hardest-hit area.
Where would we be without these brave men and women (the doctors and nurses)? I don’t know. May God bless and protect them!” declared the Irish fighter.

A heartfelt message that was warmly received by the Irish people and hospitals alike.

Conor McGregor also included many practical tips in his message, urging the Irish to act responsibly by respecting the lockdown and hygiene measures (hand washing, etc.). He took the opportunity to share his views on some “improvable” aspects of the measures taken to fight the pandemic.

For example, the Irish fighter believes that construction sites across the country should be closed, and much stricter controls should be implemented at Irish airports.
