Finding lobster in Ireland

If you’re looking for some on the spot, there are several solutions:

  • The first is to find a seaside restaurant near the harbors that specializes in seafood. Most of them offer lobster in a variety of traditional Irish recipes. Cost-wise, it’s still affordable: between €15 and €35 per dish per person!
  • the second option is to buy it fresh and cook it yourself (only if you have suitable accommodation, such as a cottage or apartment). Target local fishing ports, and come early, when fishermen are unloading their freshly caught catch! There are also many fishmongers and local markets offering them.
