Guinness Storehouse has just inaugurated its brand-new Gravity Bar, a panoramic terrace overlooking the whole of Dublin with a 360° view. It’s an extension and expansion of the former Guinness Storehouse bar, which has been overlooking the city since the 2000s, allowing museum visitors to enjoy a free pint while taking in incredible views of the Irish capital.
But let’s face it: Guinness has pulled out all the stops. The Gravity Bar is now more than double the size of its predecessor. It took over 16 months and more than 600 people to achieve this feat. The result is that Gravity Bar is now even taller and more modern. It offers incredible views of Dublin, Phoenix Park and the Dublin mountains in the distance!
To mark the occasion, Prince William and Kate Middleton, who were visiting Ireland last week, took advantage of the Gravity Bar’s inauguration to drop in for a pint of Guinness. They were able to test out the new facilities, and admire what would appear to be the best view of Dublin!
The Gravity Bar is now open to visitors with tickets for the Guinness Storehouse. The pint at the top is always free, but the establishment also offers paying pints, with your portrait printed on the foam of your beer. A must-try for those who love cool, unusual experiences!
All that’s left to do is settle into the bar’s new, super-soft, comfortable seats. You can then enjoy your pint with friends, family or your spouse, while taking in a view that’s sure to leave no one indifferent! It’s a great way to have a good time and discover the famous Irish “craic”!
