Ireland: 2 Irish restaurants in the top 50 best burgers in the world!
Un Handsome Burger à Galway

It’s a scoop: among the 50 best hamburger restaurants in the world, Ireland has two! The study has just been published, rewarding 2 Irish establishments for the gustatory quality of their homemade burgers. A fine distinction, a credit to the country.

It all started with a survey conducted by the Swedish company Burgerdudes, a leading online burger company. The company criss-crossed the globe in search of the world’s best burgers…

And here’s a pleasant surprise: Ireland stood out from the crowd by occupying the top 50, thanks to 2 establishments:

An opportunity for Ireland to shine and showcase the quality of its local produce, as well as its expertise in terms of gastronomy.

Here’s a review of Galway’s “Handsome Burger”:

The amazing meat had a deeply meaty flavor, and the other ingredients – such as the very intense Derg cheddar and delicious bacon – were bold without overwhelming us too much with their presence. We also liked the soft bread that held everything in place. It’s definitely the best burger we’ve had on the Emerald Isle”.

Burger lovers need look no further! Galway is home to Ireland’s best hamburger! A simple, easy and economical meal that lets you discover a tasty dish with lots of character! Granted, it’s not a gourmet burger, but this ranking proves that Ireland deserves its place when it comes to street food (in addition to its more sought-after gastronomic talents)!

As for the top 5, Ireland is unfortunately not in it. For the curious, here are the top 5 rankings:

  1. Emily (New York, USA)
  2. Burger & Beyond (London, England)
  3. J.G. Melon (New York, USA)
  4. Bleecker Burger (London, England)
  5. Au Cheval (Chicago & New York, USA)
