Ireland has just been named one of Europe’s top 10 countries to use Instagram!

According to the Big 7 Travel website, the green Erin is one of the countries with the greatest potential for taking photos using the Instagram app.

The reason: the incredible beauty of the Irish landscape, which is so easy to immortalize using the app! County Kerry in Ireland was voted the 6th most Instagrammable place in Europe!

A nice distinction, which was determined according to several factors: analysis of hashtags on Instagram, number of likes on publis, beauty of the shots taken, originality, potential of each country’s tourist sites, and quality of local food. Not to mention the ease with which selfies can be taken (the app has been instrumental in democratizing this practice, which has been criticized as much as it has been appreciated).

The result is a ranking of 50 European destinations considered ideal for photo enthusiasts. This ranking is made up of cities, wild landscapes, and well-known and lesser-known tourist sites… not to mention photos of food and drink, which Instagrammers are crazy about.

Ireland’s County Kerry comes out on top in this ranking. Considered one of the wildest and most picturesque regions in the country, it’s a picture-postcard landscape of cliffs, bays, beaches and impossibly majestic mountains. Between ocean landscapes and breathtaking inland vistas, Kerry is a skilful blend where nature remains Queen. From Killarney National Park to colourful harbour villages like Dingle, Kerry is well worth a visit!

Here’s a look at the final top 10:
