In light of the runaway success of the Peaky Blinders TV series, a UK-based spirits company called Halewood International is planning to develop an Irish whiskey distillery in Ireland. His goal: to produce “Peaky Blinders” whiskey. A tribute to the BBC series, starring Irish actor Cillian Murphy.
The project reportedly began in 2017, when Halewood decided to register the “Peaky Blinder” brand in the beer and spirits category. Sniffing out a good opportunity, the company decided to start producing Irish whiskey, with the eventual aim of producing it directly in Ireland.
But the company didn’t stop there, and created an entire range of spirits under the brand’s name. They produce Irish whiskey, rum and Peaky Blinder gin.

However, Halewood seems to want to focus on the potential of its whiskey by setting up in Ireland.
And this desire now seems imminent! Halewood is currently looking for land in Ireland to build a distillery specifically dedicated to the production of this famous Peaky Blinder whiskey. He then plans to move their production tools directly to the site.
A decision that would establish a new challenger in the already highly competitive world of Irish distilleries. Although Halewood remains discreet about its plans, it’s not out of the question that this future distillery could also become a tourist attraction in its own right.
This is too good an opportunity not to capitalize on the popularity of one of today’s most popular TV series! Peaky Blinders tells the story of a family of Birmingham gangsters belonging to the Traveller community. Between larcenies and crimes of all kinds, they deal in local horse racing and betting, all under the leadership of the dangerous Thomas Shelby, an ambitious man shattered by his experience of the First World War in France.
The series is critically acclaimed, and hasn’t run out of steam since its debut in 2013.
