The city of Galway has just confirmed that its famous Galway Christmas Market will take place this year! The famous Irish Christmas market will be back in town from November 12 to December 21, 2021 in Eyre Square! Good news, to relive the sweetness and magic of Ireland’s festive season!
Cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Galway Christmas Market will be back this year! And the city has already said it’s expecting a lot of people! It has to be said that last year’s market was a great success: with over 650,000 visitors expected in 2019, and 50 wooden huts, the 2019 edition was a resounding success.
The gradual return to normal in Ireland following the pandemic should therefore enable the 2021 edition to be fully operational.
And the program is mouth-watering: 32-metre-high Ferris wheel, Santa’s express train, puppet show, readings of Christmas stories, live music… not to mention Santa’s grotto!
Add to this the presence of some fifty huts, where you’ll have the joy of sampling specialities such as gourmet waffles, mulled wine, crêpes and much more! Exhibitors also offer handcrafted products and original ideas for Christmas gifts. In short, it’s the perfect way to dive headfirst into the magic of the festive season… and bring back memories that will fill your head!
The market is open to the whole family from November 12 to December 21, 2021 on Eyre Square in Galway city center. Here are the times:
