The verdict’s in: every year, the list of the best Irish pubs on the Emerald Isle is unveiled thanks to the Irish Pub Awards. An event that rewards the best pubs in Ireland! It’s the perfect place to spend an evening, pint in hand, in front of a traditional Irish concert!
The ranking of the best addresses is divided into several categories: best outdoor space, best gourmet pub, best pub in all categories, etc.
And it was the Glyne Inn, in County Louth, that was the big winner of the evening after claiming the title of Irish Pub of the Year 2018….
County Dublin’s Two Sisters pub also won the award for the most innovative pub of 2018, while Cork’s Old Town Whiskey Bar took the prize for the best pub for tourists.
Cork’s Franciscan Well Brewery was also named Best Outdoor Space of the Year.
Other notable winners include the Warehouse Bar and Kitchen in Letterkenny, County Donegal, which took the award for Best Pub for Music, and the Hiway Bar & Restaurant, Dooradoyle, County Limerick, which won Outstanding Customer Service of the Year.
Kenny’s of Lucan in Dublin also won the Best Local Pub award, along with another pub in the capital, Sandyford House.
In short, a whole host of tempting addresses to try out at once!
