Among them are Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, Samuel Beckett… Irish writers who have left a lasting mark on literature.

They paid tribute to Ireland, their country, or their region. Like James Joyce with Dublin, or William Butler Yeats with County Sligo, who found their inspiration in the authenticity of the Irish country, its nature, and its culture.

Ireland remains particularly proud to possess such a heritage. The country regularly dedicates museums and exhibitions (both temporary and permanent) to Irish writers, showcasing their lives, work, and talent.

Their works are also taught in major Irish universities, where their texts are analyzed, dissected, savored, and celebrated in all their beauty.
