There’s no end to the stars we meet in Dublin! Russell Crowe has reportedly been spotted in the vicinity of the famous Trinity College University. The reason: he was shooting a film on location about a true story, that of Father Gabriele Amorth, a priest who acted as the Vatican’s chief exorcist, performing over 100,000 exorcisms in his lifetime.

The film, entitled “The Pope’s Exorcist”, is being shot at Trinity College, and promises scenes of great intensity.

It’s not the first time that the University of Dublin has caught the eye of film-makers. Numerous productions have already highlighted the beauty of this historic establishment, including the Normal People series.

But let’s face it, this is the first time we’ve come across Russell Crowe! The latter was spotted at the scene, dressed all in black, wearing religious vestments, taking his break between scenes.

Numerous extras dressed as priests and nuns were also seen nearby. Trinity College seems to be buzzing with excitement over this mysterious shoot.

The film, known as The Pope’s Exorcist, is directed by Julius Avery, and scouting work is currently underway in Dublin and County Wicklow to find other interesting locations for the project.

No release date has yet been set. But one thing’s for sure: the film will showcase Ireland’s historical and natural wonders, including Trinity College, and the island’s wild places!

A film likely to attract a lot of attention when it comes out! Russel Crowe is no stranger to blockbuster success!
