There’ll be a real St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Galway this year! This has just been confirmed by the city council. On this occasion, they announced that they would be organizing a series of festive events: concerts, street shows… There’s something for everyone!
There’s good news aplenty in Ireland at the moment! Now that Ireland has given up its health pass (except for entry to and exit from the country), the country’s cities are turning their attention to St. Patrick’s Day.
And the town of Galway in Connemara opens the ball! It’s now official: the city will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a parade, concerts and surprise events! Add to that the opening of the pubs, and this Saint Patrick’s Day 2022 promises to be a colorful one!
On the eganization front, things are already well advanced. The parade is scheduled to start at University Road, cross the Salmon Weir Bridge and pass through Eyre Square. Colourful floats, costumes, bagads, dancers and musicians are all set to set the town ablaze!
When it comes to anti-Covid provisions, barrier gestures should apply. The question of wearing masks also arises when crowds gather. But we’ll know more in the next few days.
