Le Sacré Coeur en vert pour la Saint Patrick

After Chicago colored its river green this week, Paris decided to light up some of its monuments in green to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day!

The Sacré Coeur, the Moulin Rouge, the BVH in the Marais and the Ferris Wheel in the Tuileries will be among the monuments lit up for the night! And green was chosen, as it is the symbolic color of Ireland and its entire culture! A real tribute to Saint Patrick’s Day, which is usually organized every year in the French capital!

But Paris isn’t the only city to light up its monuments for the Irish festival! Many other countries, such as the United States, Australia and Brazil, follow this tradition!

For those who won’t be lucky enough to celebrate March 17 in Ireland, Paris has plenty of festivities and events planned for St. Patrick’s Day! Events not to be missed include:

And don’t forget the many Irish pubs in Paris, where you can enjoy live music and colourful events to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day!
