Coasteering in Ireland

Du coasteering - Andrew - cc

Did you know? Ireland’s mountains and rivers have become the latest playground for sports enthusiasts and thrill-seekers! They have given birth to a whole new sport, halfway between canyoning and climbing: coasteering! A fun, adrenaline-filled sport!

Coasteering

Between climbing and water sports…

Coasteering is best practised with the proper equipment: helmets and wetsuits are mandatory before you can dash over steep rocky peaks and slippery rivers without hurting yourself or suffering from the cold!

It can be played from the age of 8, and is full of endless possibilities! You’ll have plenty of time to climb steep walls, jump into water holes, explore unsuspected caves and dive into invigorating currents!

Torrents, waterfalls, cliffs, rugged coastlines… there are plenty of places to have fun!

Coasteering NI lists all the sites in Northern Ireland suitable for this sport. But remember to always be careful, and preferably go with a guide who specializes in this sport!
