U2 have just raised over 133 million dollars from their “Innocence + Experience” world tour. A staggering figure, generated by ticket sales for their concerts from November 2014 to November 2015.
This puts them in third place among the most bankable tours of the year. Taylor Swift takes first place, closely followed by One Direction.
These staggering figures are further proof of U2’s success.
Nevertheless, their previous tour had done even better, generating over 736 million dollars, making it the biggest grossing tour in the history of the music industry! It has to be said that this tour was mainly stadium-based, unlike the 2014/2015 tour.
A good score which should allow the Irish band to enjoy some happy days before returning to the studio to work on their new album!
