They’re back! After 6 long years without new material, the famous band U2 have just announced that they are working on a brand new album, scheduled for 2023… The icing on the cake: they’re also planning a major stadium tour! A real treat for fans of the Irish band.

U2 rolls up its sleeves and ramps up plans for 2023

The Irish rock band is planning a new album, a tour, and an autobiographical book dedicated to Bono!

2023 will be a prolific year for U2. The band has announced that it is working on its fifteenth album, six years after Songs of Experience. A project that will propel the band back to the forefront of the music scene, much to the delight of their fans!

But that’s not all. Bono, The Edge and their acolytes are planning to follow up with a large-scale promotional stadium tour, which will be eco-friendly and respectful of the environment… A decision not unlike that of Coldplay, who also carried out a major eco-responsible tour, limiting their travel and promoting the use of carbon-neutral energy.

This tour is scheduled to take place in 2024, but little information is available at present.

Last but not least, Bono will be publishing his own autobiography in France on November 2. Entitled “Surrender”, this work retraces the childhood of the famous singer from Dublin, the sudden loss of his mother at the age of 14, the birth of the group U2 and its successes… as well as his commitment to humanitarian and political causes, against AIDS and poverty in Africa.

One thing’s for sure: U2 still has plenty of projects in store!
