Le Flanagan's Pub en Angleterre rend hommage au Temple Bar de Dublin

Flanagan’s pub, an Irish pub in Sunderland, England, has just received a major boost. The latter wanted to resemble the famous Temple Bar district as closely as possible. To this end, it has painted its facade the same bright red as Dublin’s famous Irish pub, multiplying references to resemble this world-famous address.

This English pub with an Irish accent is located in the north-east of England. Co-owner Jeremy Elder, 50, came up with the idea of making his mark, imitating Dublin’s Temple Bar with its vibrant exterior and live music. He even decided to invite some of the biggest names in Irish music to the opening, including Shane McGowan from The Pogues (who unfortunately pulled out due to illness).

The exterior is undoubtedly an eye-catcher, and it’s really something a bit unique for the city of Sunderland. This is a fitting tribute to the magnificent Temple Bar. You can see it from miles away and it’s a way of inviting people to enjoy a real Irish pub, with Irish food, drink and music. People know that if you go to an Irish pub, you’re going to have a good time with friendly people. added the owner, very proud of his project.

This pub has all the hallmarks of a true Irish pub: cosy atmosphere, selection of Irish drinks, Irish newspapers and broadcasts of typical sports such as hurling and Gaelic soccer. It also offers free live music every Friday and Saturday night.
