Baltimore is a charming fishing village in County Cork. Based 15km from Skibbereen, the area is renowned above all for its exceptional bay, as well as for the traditional skills of its inhabitants, experts in fishing and boat building.

A small town famous for its Festival!

Downtown Baltimore is a pleasant place, with its colorful facades, pubs and cozy restaurants.

In terms of activities, Baltimore is particularly interesting for tourists who enjoy sailing, fishing and exploring the countryside. Baltimore has also become a very popular spot for scuba diving, mainly due to the number and variety of wrecks in the bay, including a World War II submarine (the U-260).

Its traditional music festival, “The Fiddle”, takes place every May and honors the fiddle, that typically Irish instrument… Numerous concerts are organized throughout the city, making it a great place to share a good Craig with friends or family!

A playground for yachting

Baltimore isn’t just famous for its music: it’s also famous for its boating! There are numerous sailing and yachting schools offering fun times at sea!

Whether it’s just for a stroll, or a real training course, the village is the place to be for all good sailors and boat lovers! Don’t hesitate to ask, but beware: prices are generally high!
