County Clare

Located on the west coast of Ireland, in the province of Munster, County Clare is one of the regions that will take your breath away. First and foremost for its wild, extraordinary landscapes, which make the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren a must-see. But the county’s riches don’t stop there…

Discover an authentic, unspoilt region!

From the Cliffs of Moher to the lunar regions of the Burren…

Covering an area of 3,147 km², County Clare is also home to more than 110,950 inhabitants, divided between small towns and countless picturesque villages along the Atlantic coast. The coastline here is absolutely magnificent, and you’ll easily find fabulous bays, as well as numerous sheer cliffs and mountains offering unrivalled panoramic views.

If you want to get away from the coast, you’ll discover a land steeped in history, shaped by the rigors of a changing climate, as well as the repeated presence of ruined fortresses dating back to the 15th century and other fabulous archaeological sites (you’ll find numerous dolmens and tombs dating back to the Stone Age).
