Glencolmcille

Glencolmcille is a coastal village in County Donegal, Ireland. It has the advantage of being located at the western end of the Slieve League Peninsula. An opportunity to enjoy wild landscapes, with fantastic ocean views.

A village renowned for its wilderness attractions

Named Glencolmcille after Saint Colomba, an Irish patron saint, the village is unique in that it is still deeply rooted in Gaelic heritage! In fact, 30% of the population speak only Irish Gaelic!

So don’t hesitate to take a stroll through its colorful streets, try out a local pub, or even plan one or more nights on site. The village has a reputation for being welcoming and tourist-friendly.

Glencolmcille is set in an unspoilt region, with countless tourist sites to discover! These include Dooey beach, Silver strand and Malin Beg, three superb local beaches that are well worth a visit in both summer and winter. The colors change and offer superb views of the ocean!

Then there’s Glenlough Bay, a wild Irish bay with a beach and impressive rocks just a few metres out to sea! A magical place!
