Portlaoise is a small village and the administrative capital of County Laois in Ireland. With over 18,000 inhabitants, it’s a lively and dynamic village. Although it’s not a major tourist destination, you can enjoy the charm of its market town, as well as its ancient church, now in ruins: Old St Peter’s Church.
